Today: hoops, then a pot luck, then maybe a play, and then over to a friend's to watch The Sopranos.

Objective: to not tell anyone that it's my birthday.

I've been way too big a birthday exploiter in the past. Just saw "Passion" yesterday, and if I learned anything, it's that now that I'm 33, it's time to start my penance.

Can't believe we've known each other for... wow, more than 20 years! I remember going to Baskin Robbins (back when there was one) on Shattuck for our birthdays in Jr High.

Do you know Erica who was class of 89, friends with Liz and Sally? (I don't want to say her last name here.) She was born two days before me. So there's another one for us to keep in mind.

Sure I do. I didn't know she was born close to us. Then there was another Dylan (though I knew him from Kee Tov, not school) born 3/19... go figure.

Have to tell you my latest Rachel story - we were at a friend's house Sunday and she'd been napping in the car, so I'm sitting on the floor with her being sleepy/shy curled up in my lap. Was talking to Dawn about getting stuff out of the truck and said "I'd go, but I have a lump on my lap" (and nothing more about that). Several hours later, back in the truck on the way home, Rachel pipes up "Did you have a lump on your yap (sic), Daddy?" "Why, yes, I did, sweetie... what was it?"

"MMMMEEEEEEEEEEeeeeee!"
